EMPEROR

Banda de Black metal noruego fundada en 1991, disuelta en 2001 y reformada en2005. Actualmente formada por Samoth, Ihsahn y Trym, si bien Emperor no puede ser considerado dentro del Black Sinfónico o Melódico, es uno de los impulsadores de dichos subgéneros. Sus letras hablan sobre satanismo en un principio, posteriormente sobre ideas vikingas y paganas, centrándose en la oscuridad, la fuerza del ser humano, temas de ocultismo, leyendas/folklore noruego y algunos temas más. El grupo estuvo relacionado con la escena underground del black metal noruego de principios de los noventa, y en el llamadoInner Circle.
